This is how Tim Ferriss changed my life with one simple question. I now ask myself this question every time I tackle something new or I'm feeling overwhelmed. I also share a couple of specific examples of how this helped me, and how it can help you, too.

I’ve been working on decluttering my home to have less stuff to manage.
You’ve been a big influence on my journey. Congrats on hitting your latest milestone.
There are so many areas of my life to which I will apply this concept. Thank you for sharing this story.
This is going on a quote card! I’m really bad at overcomplicating things. I would have so much more time if I just simplified things.
Edit: I commented before the end of the video. 🙃
I’m going to apply this to my to do list rework that I’m doing right now.
I started a podcast from scratch in an untapped market just over two years ago. It’s been challenging to get it recognized because nobody has done this in the industry I am in so lots of the help on the Internet regarding how to launch a podcast didn’t always directly translate. With an established presence now I am under taking trying to build a YouTube presence but I need to go full-time with the podcast but I do not currently have the financial capability to do so with two children under the age of three. But I am going to tackle this question and see What going full-time on the podcast and building the YouTube presence will look like if it were easy. Thanks for all the help Pat! Your channel has been one of the most helpful that I have found in my journey of entrepreneurship and podcasting
Hitting me at the perfect time in my career. Thank you.
You have no idea how on time this message was for me today Pat. “Keep it simple to solve a simple problem.” Thanks for sharing. 🙌☺️
One of the biggest lessons I find myself always circling back to. I find it interesting how often our brains start adding complexities before we master the fundamentals.
A nice piece … I’m reading the War of Art .. they are revolving around the same thing ✌️
This is really helpful, Pat. To answer the question at the end, I’ll use this question/approach on a class creation process I’m doing for my channel currently. Thank you!
My main focus at the moment is growing my YouTube channel. It’s become a lot easier filming and editing. Still working on the growing the channel part. Working on other options / channels as well. Hopefully that will get easier, too.
Great thoughts Pat! I recently finished a book by Jon Acuff where he talks about the 1% of the goal. Love it when I hear similar wisdom with moments of each other. I’m getting ready to build a concrete porch with the help of some friends. Ready to simplify!
Thanks Pat – SUCH A GREAT MESSAGE! Keep crushing it brother!
I had never heard this phrase before, but this is really helpful.
Exactly where I’m at, thank you Pat. My project: Restarting my church after losing half the people over the last 24 months. Solution: do what people love. Simple church. Focus on love. Acoustic worship, discipleship on zoom. Topic: Healing and Peace after the storm.
Im currently doing my thesis right now, and I will pin this concept in my brain along the way. This is really a great idea to not over complicate your task and to be more decisive.
Im gonna hard core use that question all day everyday, i ve asked that question evey day but subconsciously, cause im a lazy person but also entrepreneurial, so i always look how to make things better and easier constantly 😂
Me too! Its so satisfying getting rid of stuff
This is a great reminder to not fall into the tempting pattern of perfectionism, where progress is so slow it feels like the project never ends. Thanks for the reminder to focus on getting the content out there, rather than trying to make it “perfect.”
Praying for the restoration of your church! 🙏🏼
I’ve been over thinking a YouTube channel that I’ve been starting, so I’ll definitely be taking your advice. Thank you!
Same here Estella! Let’s apply it to every facet of our lives. All the best to you and your art!
I’m also working on an online product and I find myself over complicating and over explaining everything in my videos. That’s a great question to keep in mind. I’ll try that right away. 😎
